A Death in the Family

Sadie died around noon today.  Pete was with her.  I got home and said my final goodbyes about an hour and a half later (I had been in class with my phone off while Pete tried frantically to call me).  She was old and sick and had been my dog for over half my life (the last 13 years).  I knew she was getting close to the end when I said goodbye to
