Also bear in mind that a likely reason for the high number of reported pit bull bites probably has to do with people's inability to recognise one properly -- I have a feeling that just any big dog with whatever features the person expects in a pit bull gets reported as one, especially when you combine it with the myth of inherent meanness.

But yeah, the couple of pit bulls I've met have been about as dangerous as my icon (and, actually, Caine bit, too -- it just felt like tickling). I hate this crap, and I'm sorry to see Louisville starting to fall victim to it. I also completely agree with the intensification of animal cruelty laws in cases like that.

God fucking damn am I sick of this shit. And what doesn't help the breed is the fact that alot of people get them because of thier supposed dangerous rep and then teach them (beat on and mistreat the animal) to be viscious. I'm so sick fo these fucking guttles yuppies.
