From what I understand, it doesn't matter if you believe it or not--He/She is there and the only people who do not end up on the other side are earth bound spirits, and those who have turned to the dark side, (like Hitler) and for those souls, you sortof go thru a revolving door and are reborn very quickly. Her description of a "hell" was the place where the revolving door is, where she says spirits just aimlessly wander in darkness.
We all come from the Other Side (or Heaven..), and we all go back to the other side. You write your own chart on the Other Side which maps out your life on Earth. You don't have to believe in Jesus or God to be able to go back to the Other Side when you die. Even people who are atheists will go to the Other Side when they die. Hopefully, during your time in this life or others, you do or will realize and believe in God and Jesus, but it's not a requirement to get into the Other Side. Believing in God and Jesus while we are in this life, is in my opinion, and added perk, because it helps you get through your tough times
