♥Yesterday. My best girl friend desperately wanted to escape and "drink it all away" as she says. So despite the fact that I don't enjoy clubbing, I said I'd go with her. She's really enjoying it until the guy she has been "avoiding" shows up (I quote this because she doesn't realize what she says and what she does don't match up).
He says, "I'm worried about her. What if she dances with other guys. Where will she end up?" then proceeds to tell me the entirety of the story. I like fresh air. I like fresh air in the cold. I freaking like fresh air in the cold for 1 hour. Asshole doesn't know what to do. He also shouldn't be here.
Basically he has a girlfriend back home, but my best friend fell in love with him (she's the type who climbs independently for so long that once she slips, she goes far and deep). He asked her brother to step in, but as days became weeks, because "she's so kind to [him]" he couldn't help but like her back. They start fooling around (although I can't say it's fooling around since they didn't get past 1st base, just a lot of snuggling and kissing).
After Spring Break, he was going to ask her out, but the day after he had a video chat with his girlfriend, and of course, being his long-standing girlfriend of three years, he realizes he loves her. And while he likes my friend, it is a different kind of like compared to his girlfriend.
So for an hour, I tried to relay some comfort into his system. "It's okay to like two people. You can't help how you feel." "It's going to feel like shit, but if you always worry about other people's happiness, you'll never be happy yourself."
I guess it didn't help. He kept saying he wanted to "fix things", except there's nothing to fix. The two of them were both stupid for not drawing the line. If they were like any other friends of mine, who I know cheats on their guy/girl, who doesn't mind it, who can take care of it, I wouldn't be so pissed, but the two of them are crying over this, depressed over this, losing face over this.
After the club, I wanted to go to Paul's to play some pool. I asked her if she wanted to come, tispy and what not, she says yes. He glares at me, and tells me she needs sleep. I don't think I need to emphasize that she is not his girlfriend. He can't drive, his billionaire parents give him everything, how can he possible take care of her. He can't even smoke properly. Wanting to "protect" someone and actually being able to do it is different.
The rest of the night he asks when we're going home, and it's around this time I realize he's not going to give her up, nor is he going to give his girlfriend up, or tell her anything that's been going on. He follows us home, and I head to bed. I thought I'd give her the benefit of a doubt, that she'd take the reigns, but she spent the night at his place, again (as I would later find out in the morning).
♥Today. I was having lunch with a friend when we ran into him and his friend. So while on subject of karaoke, we commented on who sucked and who didn't. He sucked. No offense. But of course, offense was taken, as he shot back, "You're only saying that because I told you to shut up last night". Right. Number one, you do suck, and number two, yes I do hate you, but on a far greater level.
I went to the gym later, so my best friend was suppose to pick me up so we could pick up a good friend of ours from the airport. Time rolls around and becomes a distant past. Not even a courteous text saying "Hey, we're not picking you up, you can go home." Whatever, it turns out she brought him along, instead. He doesn't even know her. But I've been getting used to these priority shifts. As long as I have my boyfriend, that's all that matters.
So, I come home and there's a package for me (needless to say after the long-ass day, I forgot about the lovely items I had purchased)~! So when I picked up the package from my mailbox I was kind of confused, haha.
Anyway, when I opened it, I was even more surprised with the free Hello Kitty Lanyard/Photo ID~ It's also just too adorable! I tried each and every one of the Lanyards on before putting them on my desk. These are actually my first Lanyards, so I have no idea where to put them xD
When I took out the Drawstring Bag, I was surprised at how big it was, haha~ I don't own many Drawstring Bags, but this one has got to be the biggest, so I am really happy~~! The seller also enclosed a a really cute Harajuku envelope and card~ When I first took it out, I thought, "No way! I will forever be in her debt now >
Thanks for making my whole week so much better ._. I was really happy *wipes tears*!
