It is one of my favorite Chinese holidays! ミ☆ ミ★

In China, it is a holiday for worshipping the moon, greeting winter, and commemorating China's freedom from Mongol rule among other things... All of which I am not too clear of (^^ゞ But, to me, it is a time to get together with my friends and family~!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! It's actually today - September 12th, tomorrow for you :)
My Lunar Calendar birthday is a few days after it :)
We don't have much in the way of shopping as celebration except for moon cakes, but we make our own ^_^ I've been eating them for a month now XD

Japan has moon-viewing festivals honoring the autumn moon, too d(ゝ∀・*)

Of course this culture entered from China, though. Thanks for giving us awesome culture! lol

I was very much surprised, when I knew that there is no culture of a moonlight party in the West! Even if I watch the moon how many hours, I do not get tired ヾ(*´▽`*)ノ

Today is the day, but the place where I live is cloudy and does not see a full moon~~・゚・(。>Д<。)・゚・

I LOVE 月餅!! Very yammy~~(*゚ω゚*)❤ But I've never heard flavors of Green bean and Red bean∑(゚д゚*)! Maybe there is only one kind of taste in Japan.

Hehe~~ *remembers it*

So you have Mooncake in Japan, too~~! I didn't know that~ I wanna taste the Japanese mooncake now *___* I know traditional Chinese ones have egg inside... But that one tastes weird to me... It is the only food with eggs I don't like D:

Thank you! d(ゝ∀・*) lol

…OMG ∑(゚Д゚ )!!
It seems that the Japanese moon cake differs from Chinese ones very much.

Most Japanese one DON'T have egg inside. The walnut or some kind of nuts inside, instead. Like this↓↓

You may like the cake of the moon in Japan more (d゚ω゚d)

Oh! We have that in China too~ It is also very popular~ The egg one represents the Moon Festival very well, I think, because it's a circle shaped like the moon: http://www.familyculture.com/images/mooncakes.gif

I don't like nuts that much >___< So I just eat the red bean and green bean ones ^^ I like those flavors the most. I like it in ice cream, in mochi, in soup, etc~~
