Now that I think of it, I hear about this problem, but I've only ever lived in a house, and in hotels, I'm always loud (talking and music! all innocent! XDD) until like 3am, so I've never experienced this lol

Yeah! When my parents and I lived in apartments, it was okay... Like the walls are pretty darn thick, and we never heard a peep from the neighbors! Now my parents bought a house, so I'm enjoying the luxury of being able to do whatever I want without worrying about people accidentally listening in o_O But in Japan I had to be REALLY mindful all the time xD

I had the same problem when I was doing my semester abroad in Ireland. We were staying in school owned flats and not only could I hear everything my flatmates got up to, but my bedroom shared a wall with the flat next door and I could hear them too. I swear to this day that the people next door kept goats in the flat because there is not other explanation for the noises I would hear coming out of there. It gave me a new appreciation for silence.
