in a day trip, what would you show someone who's NEVER been to new york city? (besides a broadway show, obviously)

(sidenote: somehow my brother's obnoxious dog was able to sneak upstairs tonight and pee right under the computer desk, in the hope that i would step in it as i just did, i'm sure. i hate dogs.)

Actually I hear the MOMA's kinda lame right now. I don't know what's showing there, though. Try the Natural History Museum, they've got a thing on Darwin and a butterfly conservatory. In addition to the many fine museums, well actually, I usually first think of places to eat. John's Pizza on Bleecker is a real New York place, and it's gotten positive reviews when I bring out-of-towners. It's brick-oven, and no slices, you have to eat there and you have to order a pie
