You probably heard or saw the news reports recently about the missing teen girl who was saved when a stranger saw her using TikTok "Help!" Hand gestures while in a car being driven by her 61 year old abductor. Your last sentence was exactly what I thought when I first heard about this incidence. Then I thought "maybe tic toc-promotion?"

Well, I added a new last line, so, sorry about that. Heheheh

It sure became a TikTok promotion, and they didn't even have anything to do with it, really. That Women's Foundation was the one, and they get mentioned in passing only.

If there is a need for a hand signs, I still say use the existing ones in official sign language. There is not reason to create a new one that really does look like what it supposed to convey.
