[Up to you whether Danny actually finds him or not]invisibillDecember 11 2010, 22:22:49 UTC
[Somewhere nearby a translucent ghost is moving carefully through the building. He had no clue about firefighting, but he could at least make sure no one was trapped in here.]
.... hmmmmm. Sure! Rescues are nice!symmetrygunsDecember 11 2010, 23:26:18 UTC
[Kid's trying to figure out how to make his way out of the library safely. Going back the way he came wasn't an option, breaking a wall down wasn't an option, going through the flames and relying on his healing abilities to keep him safe wasn't an option... There had to be a fourth option, one that would work.]
[Splintering wood, something crashes, and that was not a door Kid should have broken down because now the hall he's in is filling up more quickly with smoke and he's choking on it, gasping and coughing and the feeling is very new, very strange, very human, and absolutely terrifying.]

KID!!
[Liz doesn't wait for a reply back from her Meister, grabbing the communication and loudly beating her feet in a sprint out of the apartment.]

Liz can't come here.]
I'm fine!
[A wall crumbles somewhere nearby.]

Her feet aren't stopping, and Liz can be heard gasping for breath as she pounds down the stairs.
She doesn't really have any kind of plan at all, but...
That doesn't matter!]
I'm not just going to leave you alone!

[Danny floats through another wall as he tries to peer through the smoke and dark rooms. He calls out in a slightly echoing voice as he goes.]

She knows that sound.

[The sounds that were coming through terrified her in much the same way, making her chest tighten up painfully with anxiety.
Yet she couldn't simply switch it off or turn away from it. It just... wasn't happening.]

Hello! Anyone still here?
[Kid tries to answer, a sharp gasp that turns into another coughing fit.]
Can you hear me? Where are you?
[Kid manages to get two words out:]
Over here!
[More coughing, fumbling, but someone else is there with him now, helping.]
