New York was beautiful. Two days until New York!

Dear everyone:

If you are in Denver, you should be at the Mercury Cafe tomorrow for the Slaughterhouse Slam. Crazy amounts of poetry, cash prize which means the best poets in the city will be there, and I am going to get MASSACRED and I could use the moral support. Okay? 7:00. As usual, no cover charge.

And on that note ... must go practice.

Graduation, like everything else that's happened in the past six months, was a profound anticlimax. But a good day nonetheless.

SO OVER.

No longer in the sense of "I am so over high school", but in the sense of "I never have to come to high school again."

Really short notice:

Tomorrow night, May 11, the Denver Youth Slam Team is opening for the Flobots at Cervantes. The show starts at 7:30 and it's $8 ($6 if you're over 21). Which is very cheap for a damn good show.

I just want to say that playing Balderdash with the slam team was the best thing I could have done with this day, and the best way possible to get clean of this terrible terrible weekend.  "Some things are secret Eddie!  Some things are secret!"

Also, who wants to come see the Hold Steady with me on the 22nd?
