on friday, miles' condition steadily worsened until he could not stand up long enough to pee because his back legs were giving out on him. he didn't thump his tail when i came to open his crate, or jump up and push his way out. he was no better on saturday morning, so we headed back to the emergency vet with heavy hearts. they informed us that

I'm so terribly sorry about everything. I know that dog was wonderful and happy, even with the short time I was there. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, but I know you did the right thing. My thoughs are with you and with Miles.
