Thank you so much for requesting this!!! :D Honestly, everything came together when I settled on the song as it allowed for the humorous aspects of your prompt to mix with the dramatic elements of Ripley's story that I desperately wanted to explore. Each time she fought the aliens she lost a piece of herself (which I thought was brilliantly expressed by how her hair got shorter and shorter with each film until she physically resembled the alien) and then of course in the fourth she is is literally made part alien. This is a woman who was third in line for command of the Nostromo. She wasn't the captain, she just happened to survive. It's such an amazing hero journey, UGH I LOVE IT
