I really love your tutorial. It's one of the most beautiful icons I've ever seen! (:
However, I tried to do this a couple of times and never had a good result.
I have a problem with the stamp layer, and a few more problems...
would you like to upload you psd file or help me in another way?
I will really appreciate that. (:
Thanks!

Thanks :)

I don't think my psd would help you at all to figure out your problems. Have you been following this tutorial with the same picture or another one?
I'll gladly help you if you tell me exactly at which step you have problems. You can also upload your psd so I can take a look at it, or post a version of your icon at a step where you see that it's not working for you.

I have a problem with the stamp thing. I didn't understand how to do it (I use the same cap).
I also didn't understand what to do in step 8.
And how do I open a new raster layer?
At the end, I didn't have the same order and layers like you have...

Hi anonymous! I think I'm the one that started this whole "stamp" problem, lol. All you have to do is make sure that you're top layer is selected and then press down CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + E at the same time. What it does is copy your image exactly as it is, with all the adjustment layers included (rather than just copying your base and dragging it to the top, for example). It's basically copying your entire image without having to merge it or flatten it.

I hope that helped. :)

Also, I don't know if this helps anyone but me, but I used a different cap and got some different results. But what I found really helped was hitting Image > Variations and then clicked on More Cyan and it really worked nicely to get the coloring closer to the original base.
