negative or realistic?

I told my friends tonight that I'm sick of happy endings.
So one says 'boy & girl fall in love, then get struck by lightning, the end. Is that your type of story?'
But unhappy endings don't always have to involve death.
(& we were watching an amazing lightning storm so the reference makes sense.)
I just think that in TV shows, movies, books, etc etc 99 ( Read more... )

ok LOL. "So one says 'boy & girl fall in love, then get struck by lightning, the end. Is that your type of story?'" that is the funniest thing i've heard in a while. LOL. sounds like something i would say.. haha

hmm 500 days of summer? is that a movie.. i'll go google it now.

yea im a bit torn. its like i love having realistic shows/movies.. cuz well it's so relatable. but at the same time, it's nice having those perfect endings and idk.. maybe delusional.. but its like.. i like the warm feeling i get when i watch them and its like nawwwwww thats so cool.. then again it's like .. now back to reality, that aint' gonna happen

you're not negative. that's just truthful. negative would be saying there is no good ever. full stop. end story.

It is a movie. A really good movie!

I guess you're right, I like to get lost in a romantic comedy or something that would NEVER happen in real life but I guess I just think it's SO overdone.

Thanks for thinking I'm not negative. That made my day. :)

I think it's realistic. And with that attitude, you're not likely to take any good times for granted. Just be careful not to let it go from realistic to negative! :)

I like to think I don't take the good times for granted. I think that's important to do in life. Sometimes when I'm mad I'll be like 'uhhh my life sucks!' but immediately I will say 'wait, no, it doesn't just this one thing sucks' to remember that I have it really good & I'm thankful for everything.
It's so easy to be negative & when I feel that way I just think 'what is good about today?' 'what is good about this week?' etc etc.
:)
