This sounds so much like a person screaming out for a little attention. It's actually a little pitiful and it's not very attractive. Knowing you and your family, "attention" is not something you are lacking. I don't guess you are allowed to do extra things like: hang out with friends, drive your OWN car, get your hair highlighted, be on the swim team....Let's keep things in perspective. Everything is not "the end of the world". Here's a little advice....listen more to your mother and little less to your friends. One reason we decided to homeschool our children is because we knew we were better equipped to teach our children than their peers.

I'd agree, except I dont live in there house so I dont see them 24/7, so I couldn't really say for sure. can you?

How is any of that your buisness anyway? Simply because lauren has those things she can't be upset without being a person screaming out for a little attention.? Can you say you've never had a bad day? We all have, and i'v posted entries like this before, and its nice to go back read them and realize how much i learned from that experince.

thanks for your comments...
i just wanted to address some issues ^. I do hang out with my friends some (after my school is complete), i do have my own car...I had to work and pay for my share, i pay for insurance, gas, and maintenance. I bought the stuff to put on my hair, and i give up 2 nights a week, and some weekends, and work very hard to be on that swim team. As far as attention, we all want attention to some degree - but that's not what i wanted here. I was just telling how my day went... ..i know i can't be attractive ALL the time. haha..but the Lord and my family love me no matter what. Why didn't you sign your name?

Sure you work for a lot that you have but you still shouldn't whine about your parents being "nosy" and stuff. It's their job to stay in your business and to make sure you don't mess up, that's why their here. "honor your father and mother". It doesn't say to honor them only if they're nice all the time.

to the first unonymous poster:
you really shouldn't just tear into people like that unless you know that the person needs some tough love(a more friendly approach is usually more appreciated anyways). In this case I doubt lauren deserved all that.
