Finally got my hot little hands on "A Best 2"!  The case of the white album was slightly cracked, but I don't think I'm going to bother asking Yesasia to replace it.  I think they might be sold out of the First Press anyway.  Watched bits of the CDL, and of course her vocals were really souped up compared to the TV version; now it makes me wonder

Yay indeed! It felt so good to have the CDs in my hands (even if I wish Avex would do something more creative with the packaging... maybe for the inevitable 10th anniversary collection?). I'm glad you're learning to appreciate the virtues of sequencing, it's hard work! They really did a good job putting all the "rock" songs together in BLACK.

I haven't listened too much to the two bests (I'm crazy about DANCE MUSIC >_>) but I did have CDL on while cleaning up last night and it was so much fun! I had already read your description but it was really great to see it acted out. I loved the "Flying Tiger Hidden Dragon" thing during "A Song for XX!" It's kind of disappointing that they altered the vocals but well, you still like many of her TV appearances, and they don't alter those, right?

I'm worried that now I'm going to have to start buying Ayu DVDs since her concerts are so over the top. She looks like she's having the time of her life jumping around the stage.

Totally agree about the packaging ... I was hoping for something a little more classy, less utilitarian. I really don't think CDL 06-07 ranks very high as her concerts go, so if you'd like this one, you'll LOVE AT06 or CDL 05-06. I kinda liked the fighting thing, but Ayu's offstage for most of it, and the interpretation of XX she did at A Museum was much more diva-dramatic. Despite the altered vocals, "until that Day..." is still one of my favorite numbers, with its high energy and "Real Me"-ripped off dance sequences. And of course, the fountains in "Boys&Girls".

And I listened through "DANCE MUSIC" ... and this may be the first time a whole album gets the automatic delete button :P

The clips from the pre-countdown video are from AT06, right? They looked really fun. Even though I've seen bits of that concert on YouTube seeing it blown up with better resolution piqued my interest. I may have to get it someday.

So did you get the little slip correcting the errors on the WHITE booklet? What a shame they didn't notice that stuff earlier! The picture on it is very nice, though--I like it better than the actual cover. Might have to scan it and make an avatar.

And well, I'm kind of sad you didn't embrace the genius of "DANCE MUSIC" but... not all that shocked. It's rare I get you to like one of my less mainstream diversions! ;)
