You know, I'm so out of touch with Western music that I didn't even realize that Ami Suzuki's new single, "Potential Breakup Song", was a cover of a hit from this year. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they decided to use that song for a horror movie. Then again, song/movie tie-ins always seem a bit disconcerting (wasn't Koda's "Last Angel" the theme to the latest "Resident Evil?")

So... how long must we wait for the 2007 recap post? I've started thinking about mine!

You know, I actually think of my best-of list all year long. I'll like a song in march, but wonder whether it'll have staying power on my playlist through til december. Like Yuki Koyanagi's "Sunrise" album, which I listened to incessantly during the Great Music Drought of Spring '07 ... but then got tired of. I don't think it'll make the cut.
