What kind of person puts spinners on a Prius?

It's not supposed to snow here.

The fucking house flooded again. And we'd only recovered from the flood in 2001 about two years ago.

We got really lucky though. There's houses down the street with trees through them. We never lost power here and already have cable back, while about 70% of Houston is still without electricity.

So with the hurricane coming, my job is shutting down our Houston NCC and sending us to the back up control center in Austin. I'll be there over the weekend, probably sleeping inside the office. Sounds like a blast ( Read more... )

This one's looking good so far. My friend wants to go during April-May so she can see the cherry blossoms blooming.

So apparently sometime in the next couple years I'm going to Japan. Or rather, I'm getting dragged there by a friend of mine.

Not that I put up much of a fight, I've always wanted to go.

It makes me curious though, assuming these plans actually hold up I wonder how much Japanese I can pick up in the next two years.
