I became a certified Skipper yesterday, meaning I can now sail keelboats (up to 30 feet or so). So once the weather warms up again, I'll be getting a bit different view of Old Town and the monuments. This morning as I'm walking to the Metro, a man stops in front of me, looks pointedly to the cigarette I'm smoking and says:

I will not be coming to NYC this week. Rather, I'll be spending the week in Chicago. And after that, I think it's in everyone's best interest if I no longer attempt to give more than 24 hours on my travel schedule, and even that's pushing it.

For anyone I told that I would be spending August overseas... well, who knows.

I'll be arriving the 26th of July and departing the 28th (or most likely the 29th). I am more likely than usual to have free time on this visit, so I'll keep everyone updated as I find out more.
