This story is wonderful! I love the idea (well not love, but you know what I mean) of Ben walking away from the relationship for Leslie's own good, and realizing that wasn't such a good plan for either of them, after all, and that he has political aspirations too. Perfect all around.

People always talk about how April is such a difficult character to write--and she is, and you captured her perfectly here--but I'm actually really impressed by your Ann. Her growth was subtle, but I loved that moment when she didn't accept Leslie's "I'm sorry" as a blanket apology right away. Those two have a lovely friendship, but it's so much healthier for both of them that Ann not be the only one who bends when push comes to shove.

*sighs I've been meaning to review this for an eternity now... I started watching Parks&Rec a while ago and still haven't seen anything so I'm fairly new to the fandom but OMG I'm so in love with Leslie/Ben and this was awesome! I love their voices and I love how painful their way to each other is and I just love the ending. Go Leslie :D Thanks for sharing it :)
