Thank you! There really is still a part of Daniel that thinks that confessing his love will suddenly mean that Cammie is going to get a). killed, b). snaked, or c). snaked AND killed, and it's so fascinating to watch him think that maybe if he says it in Abydan that maybe the fates won't hear, you know? The poor baby; you just want to BAKE HIM COOKIES. (An impulse Cammie frequently gives in to.)
(And I will freely confess that notion was ivorygates's -- she hears Cammieverse Daniel a lot clearer than I do. *g*)
*giggle* Yes. Yes, indeed, it is. But better men than he is have also stared at Cammie with surprising levels of bafflement, so at least he's not alone. *g*
For the icon? It's a quote and part of a cover from one of Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan books--and if you haven't read them, you need to, she's an awesome author and I really think you'd love Miles. (Her Chalion books are good, too, but I wouldn't bother with her Sharing Knife series.)
This was loving and sexy, and kind of made me tear up a bit. It seems right that it be told from Daniel's point of view, since this is all coming as a revelation to him. Lucky Daniel. It was great to see Daniel blissed out of his mind with pleasure. It was great to see Cammie finally get her man.
This seems so right: "Everyone either already thinks we been together forever, or thinks we're just the weirdest best friends they ever seen."
I am not by temperament a shipper. I don't even ship Mulder/Scully in The X-Files. However, I really did want this relationship to happen, and enjoyed reading about their unusual courtship.
Cammie may be my favorite original character in your many universes. She seems as real and complete as my dear cousin Cassie. Thank you for creating and sharing her with us.
Thank you for reading and for loving her so much! It warms my heart, it really does.
This just totally had to be Daniel's point of view, you know? Because it is new, and he is scared, but he's also awed and amazed and full of joy, and I think everyone needs to really know that and follow along with him as it develops. Even if it would be easier to write the smut believably from Cammie's PoV, having the equipment myself and all. *g*
And yeah, everyone does either already think Cammie and Daniel are sleeping together (Landry among them; he's called Cammie on the carpet at least three times by now, and each time she's hotly denied it, and only the fact that this is the SGC keeps him from officially reprimanding her, because holy hell are they all already violating the frat guidelines from here to hell and gone, but ... it's the SGC, and teams that don't bond like that die really fucking quickly, and Jack made sure Landry knew it) or are the weirdest best friends ever (beating out Jack and Daniel, even, which says something.) But there

This has never been a problem for you in writing smut, as what you lack in equipment you more than make up for in- imagination. I would love it if you wrote more Daniel/Cammie smut, next time from her point of view. That could be very amusing, actually. Cammie has a much dirtier mind than Daniel, I suspect.
Landry has already called her on it. Huh. Well, she is not subtle. I guess that doesn't surprise me any. I wonder what she is going to say to him the next time.
Also this is why I reread things. I caught a couple lines in Declension I'd missed before, though damn if I remember them now, and I'd seen the line in this about bookshelf wars but I'd missed the bit about him not caring if she arranged all the books by size and color. More :).

Yeah. That's Daniel, right there. (The icon, of course, is how he's been reacting to Cammie up until now.)
