I don't suppose any of you lot happen to know whether or not my company has to pay French sales tax? I'm guessing it doesn't make any difference if it's VAT registered in the UK, so is there a French equivilent of that? I'm trying to get hosting from a company called OVH, and it works out a hell of a lot cheaper than anything I can get in the UK ( Read more... )

As far as I know, VAT is Europe-wide whatever it is called in French. Adopting VAT is one of the conditions for joining the EC. So if you DO have to pay it, you should also be able to claim it back.

Ah, fantastic. Thanks, Steve. :) I'd been looking for a site like that, but the closest I'd managed to get was the British Consulate in Paris, which links to UKT&I, who aren't that helpful. :/
