Neglected to post these three little drabbles to LJ after they were posted to the orig. communities / my journal at IJ, so here they are.
Also, snarry fans, these are not shiny-happy snape/harry pieces.

I commented elsewhere on those first two. :)

But I'd never read 'Given' or 'Caged', I don't think, so I read them before reading 'Broken'. Oh wow, I think I understand Severus here, what he's after, but Harry? I really does make me wonder at how desperate he's been, and now, he realizes whatever he's hoped for, will never happen. So very sad.

Thank you : ) (for all the comments, you're always so good to me!)

I'm so glad you read the other two first, I really wanted to know how people were taking them if read all together. This storyline has been in my head a long time, I've just been waiting for the right prompts to trigger the next drabble.

Harry had to defend himself at some point, I think, or he wouldn't be Harry. I think one of the reasons I write Snape/Harry more than any other Snape pairing, is because Harry's character can be interpreted in many ways and still be accurate. For instance, the desperation you mention here (which triggered this rambling, sorry!) -- I can see him wanting love so desperately that he's willing to put up with a lot to have something approaching it. To me, it's a natural extension of his childhood.

I'll stop now - work calls : )

That's sort of what I'd guessed. That he wanted something so desperately out of this, but finally had to face the fact that he'd reached his limit.

I saw what a horrible day you had. Glad you still have your job, and hope you're feeling better.
