A friend of mine tried to get something similar wrapping around his leg, but they wouldn't do it because it's nearly impossible to get parrallel lines to spiral.
Also, it would only work on an even surface--like, not a leg, because the way legs become thinner and thicker as you go up and down them would lead to uneven spacing between lines.
It would work if you wanted a straight line, like down a rib cage, or if you wanted to do a single wrap like a bracelet around a wrist.
Having said that, they might still bitch you out for wanting thin lines if you go to someone who isn't a designer as well.
Good luck, though! I love my tattoo. I say go for it :)
I'm thinking the bracelet thing, except either around my ankle or my upper arm, like under where the sleeve of a tshirt is. Or where the typical "tramp stamp" is, but then again ... it's a tramp stamp.
I didn't know thin lines were a problem for people either
Eh, thin lines shouldn't be a problem at all. I got momentarily confused: one reason the guy Ethan I went with couldn't get his lines of music is because he wanted SO many, and the lines overlapped on the page, and they were crazy handwritten and swirly ad it was this ridic violin thing...your idea is so much simpler, and very doable, I think.
And I get what you mean about wanting something unique--that is why I deisgned mine with the Latin and stuff, so it wouldn't be the typical tattoo phoenix.
