I've taken up sewing again. Not that I had ever "taken up sewing" before, but I knew how to sew (my mom taught me) and I've sewn a few things here and there. But now, I have "taken up sewing." You know, this made me feel much, much better. If you, who are such a fantastic seamstress, are also an expert seam ripper, I feel less like a complete failure. :)

I've just been getting back into sewing. It is hella frustrating, but I like having clothing I like.

My friend Jen, who taught me everything I know about sewing and did not teach myself, once told me that sewing machines were less scary if you looked at them as power tools. It's true.

I love sewing, I happened to give away my machine before leaving CA so we did not have to transport it all the way here. I used to do it all the time... I used to make ren fair clothing, quilts, and costuming for the LARP I helped run. SHHHHHH! don't tell anyone about the LARP *grins* What are you making?
