Happy New Year!
I need to get out to McLean sometime in the next couple months--we should meet up for beers!

Good luck with the Austrian wines. I've not been able to get the hang of it. We tried fresher/sweeter wines at a Buschenschank (like a brew-pub, but for wine), and it wasn't bad. After the 3rd glass...

We liked the white wines from Anton Bauer's winery. Have you tried any of his, especially the Riesling?

Actually, my first apartment in VA 12 and half years ago was in the Shenandoah Apartments which are next door to the Greenbriar Shopping Center where the new Chantilly DFH Aleshouse will be. It was a great apartment, and I used to walk to that shopping center all the time. If I was still renting, I think I might seriously consider moving back there. ;-)
