[So, it's been a while since the big blizzard. It's also been a while since he and Luka talked about... what they needed to talk about. It really left KAITO with some doubts and second-guessing about a lot of things. But it'd be bad if he thought about it too much, right? He should try to lighten up a little, especially since the blizzard was ( Read more... )

[He notices the picture, but keeps on singing through the whole song. If anything the picture only encourages him, since he knows there's at least one person listening.]

[Rolling with it! He smiles and, although it probably can't be seen, it could be heard in his voice.]

Thank you!

Did you enjoy the song?

[This is the sound of a journal being loudly slammed shut, because that couldn't be more annoying.]

[That was bound to happen. He winces at the sound of it, but continues doing what he's doing for the other listeners.]

So, is this going to be a regular thing?

Oh, Miss Hale!

I don't know, I was going to see if this worked well first. It's not a real radio, but do you think it's okay?

It breaks the monotony.

[a pause]

Happy birthday.

[He'll take it as a compliment. And he'll roll with the birthday wishes, too, since it seems he phrased it awkwardly.]

Thank you.

Have you been well?

[She's going to try to not interrupt the song, although he might hear someone absently trying to hum along in snatches where the melody repeats, not realizing it's recording. The humming doesn't last very long in any portion; she's never heard the song, so she rapidly ends up going off track and stopping each time. It sounds like gibberish to her, but it's nice.

Whenever the song ends, though, she replies on purpose.] Happy birthday.

Thank you! [He sounded happy; even if it was early, it was always good to get birthday congratulations from others.]

And thank you for listening.

[...reading comprehension fail, but yes let's pretend it was intended to be early.]

You really think you need to thank the person listening? You have a good voice. I should thank you for singing if anyone's going to be thanking people.

[More like bad writing/phrasing on my part, it seems! It's all good, don't worry. XD]

Really? But you don't have to thank me -- I just like singing. I'm glad you liked it too!

...that was interesting.

Happy birthday, kid.

[Ahahaha, he was called a 'kid'. Somehow it didn't surprise him that he'd be called such one day.] Thank you.

And, um, interesting in a good or bad way? [He's genuinely curious, wanting feedback on this.]

[Bad habit of Derek's from giving team mates call signs--Kaito sounds young to him, hence the nickname. Knowing him, he'll nickname the entire place before too long. Or there'll be a lot of people he'll be calling 'kid'. Or both. XD]

It's not my kind of music, but you have a strong voice. Got a good sense of pitch, too.

Thank you, I'm glad to hear it! [If he was off or anything, that'd be seriously bad news for him.]

What kind of music do you like?
