It really left KAITO with some doubts and second-guessing about a lot of things. But it'd be bad if he thought about it too much, right? He should try to lighten up a little, especially since the blizzard was

[She's going to try to not interrupt the song, although he might hear someone absently trying to hum along in snatches where the melody repeats, not realizing it's recording. The humming doesn't last very long in any portion; she's never heard the song, so she rapidly ends up going off track and stopping each time. It sounds like gibberish to her, but it's nice.

Whenever the song ends, though, she replies on purpose.] Happy birthday.

It's better than just listening to people talk all day.

So what's this about Kite-o Raidy-o?

[synthesice]

Kai-- Oh! [He cuts himself off when he realizes she means the 'radio show'.]

It's a really simple title for the show. "Kaito" is my name and the radio is because it's supposed to be on a radio. We don't have one here, so I thought it would be okay to use the journals.

[He pauses before asking,] A radio... do you know what it is?

[xelhes]

No, I've never heard of one before. Is it one of those elect-ronics?

[synthesice]

Yeah, something like that! It uses electricity to work.

Um, it's like a box that can play sounds. It picks up signals from radio stations and plays them in your house! So you can listen to someone talking or hear music whenever you want.

[xelhes]

[She pauses as she mentally discards the parts which she doesn't understand in order to pretend she understands all of it.] So it's like the journals, but in a box?

[synthesice]

[...well, when you put it that way.]

I guess it's just like that!

[xelhes]

But with music, huh? That's not a bad idea.

[synthesice]

It's easy to carry around and fun when you have nothing to do.

Taking it outside on a good day is nice, too! [A good day, a radio, and some ice-cream? It's like Heaven.]

[xelhes]

I wish there was anything like that back home. I'd even settle for one here.

[synthesice]

If you don't have a radio at your home... then, do you just play instruments or sing?

Yeah. Well, not me, personally. I mean, anyone can sing [which is probably a pretty insulting thing to say to someone made to sing] but I never learned an instrument. I know a few people who--
