You know it feels like if I dont have a good book consistantly throughout my existance I'll be depressed. Dave's buying me a new book today I feel more alive than I have in the past month. hah ( Read more... )

ripping out random pieces of paper for little 'note-to-self's and keeping them in my wallet in front of my id has always worked for me.

Yeah I gotta go get myself a little notebook. That's a wonderful idea.. except I use my wallet as much as I use nail polish remover.. and that's like never.. :(

If you want a good sci-fi book with a little bit of philosophy, theology, and politics thrown in, you should read Dune. Seriously, that book has changed a lot of the way i look at things. =)

I'm reading Sophie's World which is another philosophical book that a friend bought me for my birthday and it's a good read so far. If you're looking for cynical stuff, try reading some Augusten Burroughs (Running with Scissors, Dry, Sellevision, etc) or some of Chuck Palahniuk's early stuff like Fight Club, Survivor, Invisible Monsters, and Choke.
