Ummm, so why is it that when I was all ookie-spooky deathrock Austin guys would hit on mewith some regularity, but now that I'm all artfag boring (read: sensible) looking Austin, no-one hits on me? I mean, even when I dress up for clubbing and such I get hit on more than I do on a normal day, and I think I'm more approachable and conventionally ( Read more... )

When you're dressed as such, your identity is on the outside. You work very hard to have these things slap them in the face.. They don't have to work for it.

When you're dressed sensibly, while it may be more attractive, they would actually have to get to know you.

So, while you may not get hit on much.. You have a better chance at finding someone you could have a successful romance with.

Or maybe they thought you'd be easier before.

I dunno, but if I were gay I'd totally hit on you.

That aside, maybe a fusion of your regular look (whatever that may be, as I've never seen it) and your club looks would do well?

Really dahling, (suck---puff)
As someone who gets hit on every day by hundreds of men I can hardly know or stand, whether I look fabulous or not, I can attest it's no pique-nique.

It only matters if they're paying, anyway...

"It's time for cowboy Austin."

You know...I laughed when I read this, but now that I think about it, maybe a "psychobilly" type look could work on him. How 'bout it, Austin?

I used to dress sort of psychobilly sometimes...black pomp, tight Tiger Army tee, studded belt, tight blue jeans with big cuffs, mondo-creepers with skulls embroidered on the toe. It was okay, but I hate rockabillies, and don't want to be confused with one. That said, I DO occasionally wear a cowboy hat and a western shirt, when the mood takes me.
