I am soooo tired. I went out last night with a Pulmonologist (lung doc) and had a little too much fun. I miss Rico (Cardiologist). He's at Sundance in Utah. He wanted me to go, but I had already picked up overtime at work. I'm flying out to Texas on Wednesday and I'll be back Saturday. He wanted to fly out there to be with me but I will back soon

I have to say, I'm not going to miss any of the waiting room whiners, or the jerkers with knee pain of 2 years duration suddenly showing up at 3am demanding immediate attention.

I know. The people with pain for like 10 years decide that it's an emergency suddenly and want to be seen right away. Are you in Oregon??? How is it? Are you not doing ER anymore?

Yep, I made it in yesterday afternoon. It has been great so far...can you believe it was SUNNY when I got here? Yeah, I'm taking a break from the ER and taking up some ICU gigs. Not that I dislike ER work, I really hate PEDS and with traveling, there's no guarentee on an adult ER. I found that out on my last assignment.

It just pisses me off that these idiots are taking antibiotics for silly flu/colds which just build antibiotic resistant super strains which will one day wipe out the population. Fucking morons...

Pretty much! They take their brother in law's random antibiotics that is meant for a skin infection for their viral upper respiratory infections. It's amazing how ignorant people can be.
