Of course a wrench!
A wrench is infinitely more interesting than a flower.
Metallic or glossy surfaces are comparatively more difficult than matte surfaces because the light changes are so defined. If you don't get it correct, it doesn't look solid.
Matte surfaces are more subtle though. I'm really painting something much harder than all the kids at school.
I don't care, I'm tired of flowers and things.

ooh and I found out today that they're technically called channel locks or something...I think that might be the spelling, I'm too lazy to look it up
