Hello my dears! I hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend (and that those of you in north Texas are recovering from the existential shock of seeing snow in April -- that is, indeed, a wonder).

I was wondering if anyone saw Grindhouse this weekend. I did, and am interested to hear what people thought of it. My extremely short version

darinbradley and I are planning to go see it tomorrow afternoon when he's done teaching -- we can't really bring ourselves to do evening movies anymore, 'cause we're old, and we don't like people. So I'll chime in with my opinions after that.

I love you dearly, but if you ever call yourself old again in my "earshot" (virtual or actual), I might have to hurt you. For reals! Okay, not for reals. But FYI, I saw the movie with a 45-year-old, and we stayed up until 4:00 in the morning. So age ain't no excuse.

Now, the disliking people part? I am there. Oh yes, I am there.

Oh, the old comment had everything to do with our lack of tolerance for other people -- not much to do with staying up late, though. We're ok with staying up late, just not around other moviegoers. Hee.

Had to reschedule our "Grindhouse" viewing until Friday afternoon; too much to do yesterday.

Loved it. And the chicks from Deathproof are my new role models.

I loved Planet Terror too, but I kind of like gross out and zombies and such.
