A/N: Basically, push Charlie's death up a few hours.  This is the fall out.  And then there's the Brad/Ashleigh, of course.  (Not related to Gravity or the Integrity stories.  Probably a oneshot, unless I go crazy and write more, which is always likely.)

That's Ashleigh, she'll finally have her life on her own terms. Her uncertainty in the beginning of this story was so sad to read, especially when she figures she should be married. It's funny how expectations and the rote of normality can trick us into thinking life is under control. I love how she reclaims herself at the end and lets Brad know it's her game.

Thank you! I liked the idea of her making a decision and then struggling with the follow through, only to decide that she's made the decision and must embrace it to move forward.

I like this a lot. But then, I always do enjoy AU Thoroughbred fics. The Ashleigh here is one I enjoy seeing... a little reckless and loose. Oh, and I do love love the way you paint Ashleigh and Brad's relationship. Like they're teetering on something and they could fall one way or another.

Thanks! I love AU Thoroughbred fics also, obviously, but the Brad/Ashleigh potential is always the best. You never know which way they're going to fall.
