Back to running?

It's too early to say if my knees are up to anything serious, but thanks to edda's inspiration, I hopped on the treadmill and pounded out the first workout of the Couch to 5k plan. My really bad knee was sore, but never did the sharp OMG STOP IMMEDIATELY pain, so maybe I am on the mend. Drove back to the housesitting place w/ the ice pack on my knee, ( Read more... )

Mine keep me posted on patellar tendinitis and chondromalacia on a daily basis, sadly. I *wish* it was just "age".

ughhhh yucky things in tubs! I have a big gross spider in my bathtub every other day or so. (Well, not big & gross by AZ standards, but pretty bad by MI standrds.)

*heh* Living in AZ certainly helps to put bugs in perspective, eh? I bumped into the woman who takes care of the outside plants this morning and she told me friend Rattlesnake is back, too. She was very chipper and said he was on his way to a packrat den, so hopefully he'll be sated for a few days.
This was taken about a year ago at the same house. Whimper!

That picture just made me do one of those full body disgusted shake things. I understand - on paper at least - that rattlesnakes and, uh, other gross things are necessary for a healthy ecosystem and all that jazz, but I DON'T CARE I HATE THEM.

What part of town do you live in? I lived around Wilmot/Broadway then Tucson/Elm and never had any incidents at my houses, then I'd go visit someone in the foothills or whatever and they'd be like, "watch your step when you get out of the car, we've got tons of snakes!" No.

I live right around Country Club & Prince, and on the second floor, so I've been blissfully free of anything other than ants and the occasional sewer roach (speaking of full-body shivers). The place I'm housesitting is in east podunk - out by Agua Caliente.

sounds like a plan on getting back to running. My dad and I used to run up to 5 miles. Now not sure if it's age or what but I got pains in my knees. Sometimes they can be so sharp that I have to take stairs one at a time with good knee. Ouch!
