OK. Few years ago my friends bought me a Logitech MX 1000 - the first laser mouse ever. I used it and liked it ALOT. Very stable and comfortable product. Didn't ever think about purchasing some other mouse. Yet, when I bought a laptop I found that MX 1000 has a major drawback - poor mobility.  The craddle is so big, that it doesn't fit nice into laptop bag and it's a real burden to carry it around. This mouse uses the craddle as a radio emitter and a charging dock simultaneously.
I'm an avid traveller so I started to think of a way to minimise space used by MX 1000 full set.

First I unscrewed the craddle and found out that radio emitter is separate from charging module and all parts are relatively small. I found out that emitter easily fits into my sister's powder box after slight modifications.

And the power stabilization module and power cord slot fit easily into mouse itself.

After that I just cut out the insides of a powder box and made a small indent for usb cord holder.

After few days of fitting the stuff with files and a knife I soldered power stabilization module to mouse's charging contacts and glued power charging slot inside the mouses front part.

The mouse is charging directly from the outlet, the power cord is detachable.

All needed stuff fits into laptop bag (and even a pocket) perfectly now.
