Well at least all the comments on the article all go against the remake and most have said they will not view it. I know that I won't. You can't remake perfection.

1985 vintage MTV might have pulled it off. Today's corporate hip-hop rap for surburban white kids who want to be urban thugs MTV will fail miserably. The one shot they have is if they work very closely with the casts of the major city productions, involving them as consultants, extras, etc. Sort of like Peter Jackson did in the pre-production of LotR. But that would take effort, and its far easier to make bland crap with no thought put into it.

Yes, actually most of the reports have seen this in a negative light. It does of course have FAIL stamped in large red letters across it. Though, like a moth drawn to the railroad tracks, I may have to watch it.
