I've been thinking about this acryonym for, literally, weeks now, and I don't geddit. A clue for the clueless, sir? Seeing as it's the holidays? *grin*
It means "me too" and is an otherwise empty and meaningless post, adding nothing of value or new material, beyond showing agreement. Typically, in its original form, involving replying to the post by including the entire content of the thread until now with just the words "me too" added at the end. AOL user syndrome.
"+1" is the other way of saying the same thing without any implied rudeness; however, often the people posting +1 think that they're geeks who get it and don't realise how wasteful it is for everyone else to read their +1 comment; "Oh, yes, an update notification because ... you said +1. Well, thank you for that." So, realising that I wasn't adding anything, I was rude about myself and phrased it AOL.
