Here is some more info on the Lykeion right from the archaelogical site stands. Indeed it is a monumental space in time!

OMG! I stayed on a hostel near Sintagma Square and didn't know about it!!!! :(

When Aristotle spoke of the 'golden middle', he certainly didn't know the place where he taught for so many years would become the very 'middle' of the future Athens!

I agree.The findings are few, but the gardeners have planted lovely typical greek-mediterranean plants which have a sweet-smelly fragrance, so its a pleasant experience walk there to " the very middle" of the city !
The call is for everyone...

Tonight i am brave, i continue to answer without the help of my son !Once you understand my english is all shiny and bright!
Come everyone in Athens , will do long walks, we go to the islands , will eat baklava ( its an excellent turkish-origin candy )we will see ancient theater-tragedy or commedy at the roman Herodion Theatre..what else ?

There is no problem to understand your English. You should venture more on your own. I want to share with you the wisdom that long time ago my English teacher told to the class: "Don't be shy to speak foreign language with native speakers. Always remember, you can speak their language but in most cases they can't speak yours ( ... )

Me too i am a single mother -not by choise.But my son is big enough , so i have more freedom.
And yes summers here get very hot.This did not happen when i was a child- i remember cool perfect summers.Must be the climate change
