Finished pulling together my bedroom this weekend, and hung the finishing touches today.
In case you want to see where I sleep.. (a tad picture heavy..)
Entrance to bedroom. Apologies for the blurriness. [(no flash=no focus)+(liz+4 lattes)]=blurry shot.
New bookshelf, and articles from old Life mag hung up above chest. The antique store near the house in Newmarket has a whole section of old magazines, and articles taken out of damaged mags. These three were $3 in total.
Miss Bridgette Bardot.
Rest of BB article.
Miss Rita Hayworth.
Shot from bed. Bathroom to the right, bedroom door on left hiding closet door.
Comfy bed. Above it are old pictures of my mom as a kid, and her parents as crazy young lovers. (Hung on string with painted clothespins).
Not sure what's going on with the garbage can in this shot.. I just went to look at it now, and I don't see the stains that make it look like someone vomited in it... Thanks digi cam.
Closet system up and running.
Shot from bed. I love those shoes so much, I can't wait for it to get warm enough to wear them outside...
And then just for shits and giggles, because I redid my computer area as well, I'm throwing those pics in here too.
The 'desk' is basically two Ikea LACK tables, with a cover that I sewed awhile ago for it. It's a kind of pleather, very easy to keep clean. It doesn't reach the floor anymore because I added some table leg length things to it this weekend. This way I don't kill my back!
Picture holder above computer. Remember that post about my wishlist? Afterwards I wrote it out too, in short form. Can cross off wireless mouse and printer now!
To the left... That handy little white box houses all the crap that would just sit out before. Camera, and it's accessories, blank cd's, cables..
New printer! So far, I'm very happy with it. The white thing on the wall is a kind of bill holder I crochet'd awhile ago to keep down the clutter in this area. I love the two pictures you can see here. On the left is my Dads old jeep, I remember sitting on his lap when I was like 4, and 'driving' it.. On the right is my Dad, testing out the camera they had just bought while Mom takes a picture of him. (I think this was taken around 1985 or so..)
Jesus candle! There is this tiny little grocers down the street, that sells everything you can think of. It's amazing.
Bookshelf and Beck. I actually picked up a couple more of those bookshelves awhile ago, and can't figure out where to hang them.. Maybe I'll harass you guys with more pictures, and you can tell me where they should go?
Knappa light!
This concludes our lengthy and non dial-up friendly tour.
Hope you enjoyed it!
