i think we should relocated to SF. ;) Most of my friends are now living in the SF/San Jose/NorCal area. *sigh*
Nice exerpt from The Prophet. My only "problem" with most religion is (and always has been) with the concept of a person/thing that is supposed to show the way. I'm convinced that it's a construct of man to try and simplify things for the masses.
I agree with most everything Gibran says/means, but i have a difficult time applying it all the time. I guess that's the reason people go to church; to remind themselves of "the path".
Oh I agree about the higher power thing. Actually I almost cut out the rest of the passage at first, but I thought it sounded better in context. Recently my nose crinkles when I hear the words jesus or god. And that includes christmas music.
