Maybe the ethical considerations will come to seem more practical after the inevitable disasters follow their attempts at creating smarter eleg. -_-

How could it not? The elegs will surely be properly grateful for the dragons not only allowing them to develop technology to kill one another better, but also taking a purrsonal hand in killing them.

Jy  - Not much yet, but the second generation isn't sexually mature yet. It is a very slow plan.

The process could be expedited, and potentially go from ethically bad to monstrous, if magic and drugs were used to accelerate things.

Jy - It could be made considerably more dramatic! Fortunately (or "Alas!") none of the four of them has the relevant skills.
