Pope John Paul II died last Sunday early morning. I wasn't able to write about this sooner 'coz I've been very busy so, now that I have the time, I'm gonna use it to write

I wouldn't expect much of a reaction really. I mean, even my family doesn't actually talk about him over dinner or anything of the sort. And just 'coz you didn't look up to him or really mourned over him wouldn't mean much to me honestly. Even I didn't really mourn. I guess the whole point of this entry was just 'coz I felt the Church lost something when the pope died. I felt that he made a difference and I guess it was also a result of all the news and stuff on TV, on the radio, on the newspapers -- everywhere! And yes, I believe God'll accept him into His kingdom too! ^___^
As I've said many times, deaths depress me. This one was rather tragic though. He acted as Jesus did... He's definitely going somewhere good.
By the way, the "Dirty Pope?" title in my lj was from the fact that a rockstar I know can't pronounce "pop" and my friends always say "dirty pope" like it's the funniest thing in the world. The question mark was what it was, a question mark, like asking "was he really?" He wasn't one. He was a good person. My dad used to tell me stories about all the good stuff the Pope did and though I was always telling my friends that the Pope was not a rapist like some of the "priests" out there (they aren't servants of God if they pull stuff like that) they still didn't like him. They celebrated his death... I think that's so cruel. I told them that too and they just said "well, that's your opinion". But, though I don't agree with a lot of things in the religion, (especially the Vatican itself) I believed he was admirable.
