Shh! Spoilers!

Jun 23, 2010 15:02

The temptation to click on spoiler links is getting harder and harder to resist as The Big Bang approaches. I have already been spoiled for a few small things, but I want to watch Doctor Who on Saturday without knowing much else. But on the other hand, I really really want to know. The urge to click is so very, very strong.

I am going to need some ( Read more... )

It will be more fun not knowing! I was only spoiled on a couple of minor things for TPO, and neither of them was even quite right. I'm tempted by the spoilers too, and if I'm not more careful I'm going to start finding things out despite myself, but you can only be surprised once. I'd rather that it happen during the actual viewing.

I know I know I know. But the spoilers. They call me.

Also, they are everywhere. It's so hard to resist/avoid.

I haven't seen any spoilers yet, and don't want to...but, they tempt me. *ghfjksls;als* Will not click. Will not click. ...Except, maybe just for this tiny preview clip.

My failing willpower, let me show you it. *g*

I am the biggest spoiler whore ever, so I click them as soon as I find them, but then, I've found that even knowing the spoilers doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the episode, because, well, the spoilers are never the whole story, are they? Some of them are incomplete and some of them just make you want to learn more and some of them are misleading. Sometimes, half the fun is figuring out which ones are which, and then seeing all your mistaken assumptions turned on their heads once you watch the episode itself.

That said, I applaud people who have the strength of will to avoid spoilers; I certainly don't. ;)

I think I have a spoiler threshold. I will spoil myself on certain things, like basic storyline, casting, etc. And I love to see pictures. But I don't like being too spoiled.

But I am trying to break this habit. I tell myself every year that I will stay unspoiled. And every year I fail spectacularly.

My tweet-a-holic self refuses to look at twitter for four days because too many people pissed me off. At least here people use cuts.

I'm a huge speculation/spoiler whore. But I already knew too much about Rory and it DID ruin it for me so I don't want to know anymore!

Stay strong and don't peek! After Cold Blood, I did not even watch any of the preview clips and I have been very pleasantly surprised.
