Writer's Block: Gone but Not Forgotten

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Angel, Buffy, Firefly, Touching Evil (USA version), Dead Like Me, Wolf Lake, Forever Knight, Swingtown, and I'm sure there are others, snuffed out way before their time.  The worst offense is when they just leave a show dangling, without any real closure.

I forgot Wolf Lake, too. (Someone else also mentioned Forever Knight and I slapped my forehead.) That show had some real possibilities. Also Kindred: The Embraced, now that I think of it.

I was home sick Thursday and Scifi had a Wolf Lake marathon. I really thought that show got a lot of things right (with the exception of Lou Diamond Philips).

There's a show I'm watching now on BBCA that I absolutely love - Skins. I've been working my way through all the episodes that I recorded and I'm in the beginning of season 2. It's probably one of the best depictions of teen angst that I've ever seen, and it's funny, raw, heartbreaking - American tv just can't compare. If you can get your hands on season 1, I highly recommend it.

On the U.S. side of things, Chuck is high up on my list of favorites. Season one is out on dvd now, and it has Adam Baldwin, which is never a bad thing.
