Why is everyone in this town so fucking friendly? Can't I just enjoy my coffee or my breakfast or whatever without some stranger coming up and talking to me? I don't want to tell you what my book is about, don't worry about why I'm here from PA, and stop saying hi just because I pass you on the street. I miss the surly northeast already.

haha... it's because they are partially insane from all the cold. it's just like in houston; they talk to you like they've known you their whole lives and all you want to do is buy some damn milk! extremely hot/cold weather makes people insane...and nosy.
