I should know better and I should be a better person...but I can't help but loathe Britney Spears and some other so-called artists, who spend more time looking like hookers than actually doing something really unique and creative with music.
Something that has a little more depth and meaning to it...

Agreed. I don't think its something you have to apologise for - these are people who are in a position of power because of the public. They should show a little more respect, appreciation and support back to those who swathed them in bling. And not necessarily in the Clooney, Pitts, celeb way of going nuts in 3rd world countries, but just being a good role model and saying thanks once in a while. Of course sharing their considerable wealth with those who are needy should always be encouraged.

I guess I'm really tired of how sexually obsessed everything seems to be these days in the music business. All the songs are all about getting laid, the vids are like porn - and not in a good way. ;)

its enough to turn anyone off the mainstream charts and regress to the alternative or retro charts. I did this a long time ago. I still have a check of the current charts, usually through iTunes, and am generally disgusted by what I hear.

Music is meant to be about expression, comment, and joy... not about making so much money by shakin' ya booteh and degrading and objectifying women that you can't think of anything else to do with your money than gild your car with gold. Gross.
