Kriem's wires are sunk deep into Ivan's body, and Jake's words are a vice around his mind. If it weren't for Kriem, he wouldn't be able to move. One finger is still at an awkward angle, and Ivan is wearing a disguise of himself as he walks into the headquarters, smiles dazedly at the others.

They look up happily, they come over to congratulate him, thank you, to praise him, to tell him they were worried.

His movements are quick, instantaneous. Some part of him quivers with regret, when he stops Nathan from kissing him, slicing across each of them with poisoned shuriken. One for each of them, sunk into their shoulders, Keith's chest; neurotoxin to paralyze.

Their guard was down; foolish Heroes.

He parrots Master Jake's words back at them, as Keith drops into unconsciousness first, followed by Pao Lin, Nathan, Karina.

Antonio grabs his wrist, struggling, grunting in frustration.

"What-- happened to you-- over there?"

Ivan can't speak, doesn't know what to say to this unworthy Hero. Master Jake didn't say. But he feels
