rockbox is an open source replacement firmware for mp3 players. in the spirit of switching to open source apps [my pc tower is now running ubuntu 6.06 LTS with it's plethora of open source apps], i decided to give this a try. i figure, if i didn't like the results then i could just remove it and put back the apple firmware.

one of the reasons why i could never abandon this journal was because it contained about 3 years of my life [no matter how difficult some of the entries are to read again]. there was no way i was going to download every entry one by one. even i'm not that anal.

chicken of the vnc
lordy. i've gotten so lazy that i installed vnc on both my windows [tower] and mac [laptop] machines so i can listen to music and watch my downloaded shows without getting up from the bed. -
