damn cs
Computer programming really mucks around with your (my) emotions. I go from frustrated to excited and confident, back to frustrated and doubting my basic abilities in such short spans of time. And then it won't fuckin' work for no discernible reason! Grr. Stupid program. Stupid backtracking. Stupid me who can't figure it out. And of course

Both. One of my favorite (and least favorite) things about cs is the way it yanks you around from one emotion to another. At some point I guess I just decided that the rush was worth the frustration -- but there was definitely a time when I never uttered the word "cs" without the word "goddamned" right before it.
Also, if you're using the same book we did (kruse & ryba?), I think that 127 had the worst textbook I've ever seen at Carleton. So it does get a lot better.
